Public Safety

A wireless infrastructure for public safety involves a comprehensive and reliable communication network designed to support emergency services and public safety operations. HALO’s 5G Network ensures that first responders, such as police, fire, and emergency medical services, can communicate effectively during emergencies.

HALO NETWORKs for public safety include:

TESTINGS & ENGINEERING

NFPA code requires that any Carrier DAS installed must not interfere in any way with Public Safety Communications in building. Our expertise in the Public Safety field and top tier testing equipment allow us to locate and propose solutions to alleviate interference issues. We also provide Engineering, Design, Planning and Full Turnkey services to meet any of your public safety needs.

MONITORING

NFPA code requires that any Public Safety DAS should be monitored for faults that may arise from loss of power, 70% of backup power remaining, antenna damage, oscillation events, or low output power from BDA. These alarms should have a visible indicator at the fire control panel location. We provide alarm and monitoring equipment as well as installation services.

INSPECTION

Annual inspection is required for any PS DAS system as per NFPA code. We provide yearly inspection services that include:

  • Equipment testing and setting verification
  • Active equipment calibration
  • Donor antenna calibration
  • Received Signal Strength report and mapping
  • FER (Forward Error Correction) reports
  • Backup power testing
  • Alarm panel testing

HALO NETWORKs FOR PUBLIC SAFETY

Implementing a wireless infrastructure for public safety provides numerous advantages that significantly enhance emergency response capabilities.

Benefits of HALO Network in Public Safety

      • Improved Response Times for efficient communication can lead to quicker response times.
      • Enhanced Coordination among various public safety agencies.
      • Real-time information and reliable communication can improve the safety of first responders.
      • Increased Public Safety though more effective emergency response and management.

requirements for public safety

A wireless infrastructure for public safety is essential to ensure that emergency services such as police, fire, and medical responders can communicate effectively during critical situations. This infrastructure must be robust, secure, and capable of handling the unique demands of public safety operations.

Key Components for Public Safety

      • Public safety networks often use dedicated LTE/5G wireless networks to ensure reliability and priority access.
      • Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Systems used for voice communication
      • Public Safety Broadband Network (PSBN) is a dedicated, secure broadband network designed specifically for public safety use
      • Satellite Communications provides coverage in remote or disaster-stricken areas where terrestrial networks may be unavailable or compromised.
      • Devices such as sensors, cameras, and drones that provide real-time data and situational awareness.
